About Me

Hi! Welcome to my page. I am Shyanne. Shyzam is my nickname. I started this blog on a whim. If you stay a while, you’ll learn that’s sort of my MO. A big supporter of mine in the triathlon world suggested I start a blog documenting my journey in sport and in life. So…. I did.

My goal

To inspire you to dream bigger and reach your goals, teach you what I’ve learned in training and (hopefully) entertain you with my journey in life and sport.

My Life

I am a wife and mom of three, doctor of physical therapy, triathlete and triathlon/running coach. I live in Duluth, MN where it is winter 6 months of the year.

My experience

I am coached by Raymond Botelho with 25 years of experience as a professional triathlete. Professionally, I am a physical therapist working in orthopedics. I am certified in run form assessment and injury prevention, Integrated Manual Therapy, dry needling. I went from a first timer at a local (sprint) triathlon to qualifying for the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii in coming in 4th overall and winning my age group in my first Ironman, Ironman Florida, 2019 in 16 months. I am a Level 1 USAT triathlon coach and a proud coach to triathletes and runners all over the US. I like to geek out on all info related to endurance sports and triathlon. Lastly, I am a working mom of three! I am proof you can be a working mom and an elite athlete.
